Meet Mary Caldarelli, Data Processor at FMTC!
How long have you worked at FMTC? What is your current role?
I’ve been at FMTC for four years as a data processor.
What do you like most about your job?
The “work from home” lifestyle and my teammates.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I enjoy taking long walks and hikes and camping with my dog Cheech. I also pursue hobbies like wood carving, crocheting, and writing articles for my environmental health/wellness website in my free time.
What’s your motto or personal mantra?
Life is about the journey, not the destination.
Where’s your favorite place in the world?
It’s a tie between the Olympic Peninsula and anywhere I happen to call home.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
My morning coffee.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I was living the “van life” before it was a thing. In 2004, I resigned my teaching position, got a small camper van, and traveled the country with my dog for over a year. My most recent three-year van trip ended in 2019. So far, I’ve hiked and camped in 18 national parks, 40 national forests, and hundreds of state parks across 45 states.
